I love it when they're batting around one minute, and then flat out on the ground the next. They're so much fun to watch.

My neighbor, years ago, had his Standardbred mares in the pasture across the road from me. One of the mares was on her side that way, enjoynig herself in the Sun, and her colt got nosey and stepped across her neck, front feet by her chin and back feet by her withers. All of a sudden the mare startled awake and stood up, flipping the kid into the air and onto his side when he landed. He got up, shook himself off, and looked all around as if to say, "I meant to do that .......".
