Belly shaving..Do you guys shave the MARES belly prior to foaling?? I just curry them good..I know some people shave..(the MARES belly)

I don't shave the belly but i clip with my clippers going with the hair so it doesn't cut it very short but gets rid of that loose gooby stuff they have. Makes me feel better so the foal won't ingest the hair. But this year they are later so maybe i won't need to do it for my May baby. Definately don't need to for the June baby.
