Bugs birds and bees...

How are the mosquito's in your areas girls.. Not many around here..
Not many off anything. At night I might have about half a dozen moths
banging their heads on the window.. and some little green things..
Bees seem to be in a short supply as well.. Filled the humming bird
feed once so far this year and it is still half full.. Hardly any swallows
around. Usually there are dozens upon dozens of shallows around.
Really strange year..

I was just thinking about those mosquitos. I have 3 bites that are huge amd i think those were the only 3 mosquitos we have had so far. But then we don't get many of them on the farm.

The hummingbirds are scarce here too. They were around early this spring but nothing for the last month. Usually have a lot of them buzzing around. I miss them. Bee's normally get pesky in another month here.

Your swallows must be down here.

Yes not many pests around our place either, one Humming bird and lots of the small Blue Mountain Birds but not much now though.

The mosquitos were unbeliveable this year. They have settled down LOTS though. There's been quite a bit of yellow jackets here, but we have to go around the house with wasp blaster...haven't done that since we started building the house. Lucky so far this year...no stings
No stink bugs this year at all! We had about 3 years where the stink bugs were SO thick, it was like a plague. My poor father in law...he's always got a glass of water by his bedside, in the middle of the night several stink bugs made their way into the water. Well, he woke up thirsty, and you can guess what happened  He was one sick man after swallowing those suckers

The Bats around here are great at keeping the mosquitos down to a tolerable level.  It's fun to watch 'em in the twilight, swooping and diving after the darned things.

We are A-ok so far with misquitoes down here in Connecticut.
We are supposed to get rain later on today again.  Ground is so wet now.
Had a cashier from my grocery store bring her 5 year old granddaughter to visit the minis this morning.  She had a ball with them.  Just the right age to enjoy.
