Could be fires tonightIt's real dry out...total fire ban.
Severe storm warning, lightning, and hail and wind  .
I'm told they are radioing the houseboaters on Shuswap lake to beach for the storm.
There's been dry lightning ...and LOTS of bird dogs checking for forest fires. I counted 6 in 15 min. Could be a long night....I'm glad we aren't in too bad of a spot...animals and the house have a bit of a fire break between us and the forest.

Darn ... that is worse than bears in your back yard.. stay safe..
I heard lighting got a house not to far from here last night.. The hubby
had gone out to check on cattle that were being spooked by the storm.
Lighting hit the house and the wife and son escaped but the house was
gone in minutes.

well, the storm spread out and wasn't severe like they said. We had lots of dry lightning for a few hours and then we got our downpour. 
We had a breeze...it was actually quite relaxing. I fell asleep on the deck watching the lightning and listening to the wind.
I'm glad it wasn't bunched up and intense...it did pour all night, which is nice for a change, we needed the rain.
I think Sicamous got it worse...there was pretty intense lightning out that way...good thing the houseboats were off the lake. We don't need any more people drowning out there. They pulled 2 bodies out of the lake last week and are still searching for one....alcohol and lakes don't mix well

Phew glad you guys are okay and didn't get a bad storm..we need rain bad..share??? It is getting soooo dusty
