Dog gone stallionHad the big sliding door shut on the barn and 1 stallion out in the front pasture to eat grass over night. Thought i was doing him a favor. I looked outside this morning and he had the door slide open just a crack. Man that could have been a disaster. Mares were inside over night. Guess he was lonesome. Just a warning these guys can do almost anything if they get an idea. That door is heavy too.

I can imagine if any of the Girls were in heat. He'd've had a grand old time last night, if he didn't get kicked to death! Close one, Betty!

Gosh, I can't even let my stallion out of his paddock anymore. I use electric fencing and he can find places to get out. He left last week and ran down the road to see some bigger horses (mares). My stallion is hard to catch because he came from a big farm, I guess. Anyway, we had to block the road with my husband's truck and chase him back home.
