I love my horses!Just feeling particularly grateful that I get to own these marvelous animals today. They are amazing and wonderful in spite of all the work it takes to own them. And maybe the glorious weather ( we barely cracked 80 degrees) had something to do with it. I spent 3 hours with Aslan out in the big neighbors pasture and played with Moriah with a hoola hoop that even had beads in it that made noise!!! Scary thing.
We've finally worked out an agreement regarding playing and grazing. I ask her to do something, then she stops and asks if it was ok. And then I let her graze for a minute. Then I ask, we stop, she grazes, etc. The good thing is that she gets to graze and I still get her respect. Sometimes we just stand still for a minute after I asked her to do something so she can think about it before going to graze. Those are my favorite times. You can just see her mind processing things and thinking. When she's done she usually licks her lips and then I let her graze again. They all want to be picked to go and play when I go out there. Pretty cool.
