Interesting theoryI bought a copy of "Equus Magazine" yesterday. A person wrote in that his/her mare always rubbed hits tail on things, like the gate and the shed wall, etc. The writer said that he/she cleaned the stuff out from between the mare's teats ( that sweaty, dirty smegma-like stuff ), and the mare quit rubbing. So I tried that with Lady, whose tail stalk looks like an old whiskbroom right now. I didn't get all of the gunk out, but she did stop rubbing as much as she was! I thought that was kinda interesting. BTW, she has a negative fecal egg culture, so I know she's not rubbing because of worms. I thought maybe it was because she's been in heat for the past two weeks.

It's what they do at the vet's. You take in some horse poo and they do a fecal egg count to see if your worming program is working.

Yes I know that one. I just wondered why Christine might try it on herself
