It must be a year for rodents. Look at what we found...I guess it was his mom that we got last week. We found this little guy wandering around, I'm not sure that he can even see right now...poor little guy, the kids were right attached as soon as they seen him and he's not mean at all. Oh what am I going to do about this one? They already named him Mr.Jingles

Lucky you... your very own mouse...
I remember when Bob and I were first married.. We took Bob's younger brothers and sister and some of there friends driving in the country..
Found mice under bales in the fields.. The kids were catching mice and Bob and I opened the glove box and in they went..
Well glove boxes have holes in them... or did.. We had mice under the dash, under the seats , everywhere.. We had to leave the car doors open with little ramps to get them all out..

LOL that's cute.
We found another one yesterday, put him in with the other one. We'll feed them up for a bit til they aren't so clumsy, then turn them loose in the bush with a bit of food to get them on track.

Well Izzy you found out how fast mice multiply.. one turned into two over night.. LOL

Not very fond of mice at all, so I will not say what to do with them because in no time they will be desroying your grain or hay.

These little guys are going for a drive up the mountain
When the kids found them they were stumbling around blindly looking for their mom, as soon as they felt the heat of hands they passed out.

How many squirrels do you figure you have Adie?
The pub down the road has a squirrel that steal peanuts from the bowls on the picnic tables outside. He is quite tame...comes right up to your hand to take peanuts.

I really don't know.. but Mom squirrel that lives in the garage has got big boobs so I am betting there will be even more running about before long.
The swallows used to keep the squirrels away pretty good..but there doesn't seem to be many swallows around this year..
We had a pet squirrel once.. found it when we tore down an old building..
it was just a baby then.. We had it in a cage in the TV room.. Use to let it loose in there when we closed the door with no cat or dogs in there.. Like most critters around here I think Bob killed it with kindness.. Poor thing was build like a pear after a couple yrs.. It liked candied fruit and Bob made
sure it never did without..

We had a squirrel come just barely alive in our transport truck from the Hagen department in Quebec. Once we gave it water it started running all over the warehouse and out the back door. It was a black squirrel not greyish like here. It is more then likely still living in Edmonton. Cute little thing.

Can't help but love how cute they are
We lost one of the mice...the other one is doing alright. Just have to figure out who is more attached ...the kids or Tony
...his last words before he left for work was.."make sure you give Mr.Jingles at least two feedings while I'm gone today"
that's funny....especially from a guy who " doesn't like rodents"

He is a big softy... could tell that when he saw Dixie... Think he fell for her
before she ever got on the trailer...

IZZY

Yea, he is a softie...on the way home he was already saying he would be kicking his butt if we didn't end up loading her.

Izzy sounds like you have no cats to get the rodents around your place, doesn't your dog get them. Ours get every little rodent around here or the cat a good hunter.

We have those little goomers around here, too ...... the deer mice. They're so dogonned CUTE even when they're adults!
Great camera work with that mamma squirrel, Adie.

We don't have cats, but the dog does catch them when he gets a chance.
The little guys died. I think they were too young.
