It's raining!Really raining!!
Nice steady gentle rain.
It's been a long, long time - want to go out and just stand in it but I have to stay dry to work!
  
Hope it will help the pastures so we have something through the winter.
Our county is importing hay from Oklahoma to help the cattle farmers survive. The non-farming community is all up in arms about tax dollars being spent to support individuals  I guess they'd feel better about paying $30 a pound for beef!  People who are not connected to the land sometimes have no clue how dependant they are to it.
Everyone should be required to spend a year farming before graduating from high school in my opinion!!!!

Regarding the Non- farming community being up in arms about our tax dollars helping feed the cattle and or horses
I don't mind our tax dollars going to help starving cattle, something good for a change. Those dollars have been spent on a lot worse things

Around here it rains every time we have just cut down the hay waiting for it to dry and then bale. Which is happening again. We never cut it all at the same time not enough time when we both work away from the farm. It is getting quit cold out here already at night and early morning. Our critters are hairing up already.
