Joyce G

Show the girls what you have been doing to your house..
Say something naughty or something... Where the heck are you????
IZZY

Yea, it's been a while
Joyce

oops!  Sorry I just saw this ... a week later LOL   Can't be naughty right now. I have company. I've been keeping my clothes on, not swimming in the pond lately. No UPS Man coming around. I will try to make up for being  good  .... later on.
IZZY

oh yea, I forgot about that time
McBunz

Can't you just give us a little bit of bad before your reunion???  I am sure
your son can help you  with that..
Joyce

NO! Not this son. Don't need his help. I have to keep a close watch on this one. Never know what's gonna come from him. NO NO NO
McBunz

Oh no ... he got it from you ... didn't he..
Joyce

Yes, I think he did get it from me. We just got back from our family reunion in Mountain Home, AR  First time both boys went with us. I was worried about what Keith might say or do.
I didn't know how much quality family time I could handle.   I didn't know if I would still have to ride in the back seat with one, and the other one in the front seat with hubby, to keep them from fighting with each other.
That was when they were small. I still had to ride in the back seat this time with one but for a different reason. Poor Paul is a beast and just doesn't fit in the back seat very comfortable.
Anyway it was a good time.
Carlson

Nice to hear you all had a very good family reunion. It was good that both boys at least came this time. I have one in Manitoba and I didn't even get to see him [drifting away]. friends he hangs around with.
Joyce

OH I'm sorry to hear that Pat. That's a shame. We are all working on trying to figure out where we can live so we can get together more than once or twice a year.  The youngest one's job tranferred him to New York / New Jersey which is a really great job for him. So I guess we have to work around him being located there for now. Way too expensive for us. Right now it's just too far from TN, plus I don't have wings   Afraid of flying. We do have a good time when we get together, life is too short. I thought it only bothered me, but he called us recently and told us we need to move closer to him. LOL This is the one we had to move just to get him out on his own. He says he knew a good deal .. free rent.
Carlson

Yes some times it is all move closer but then someone loses his job or needs a change and move again. Can't always move on a whim, right. I really love Alberta but maybe when we totally retire we will move back home to Manitoba. But maybe not, just depends we have a great set-up here. Costs more to live here but he is living alone it would be great for him to come here. Lots of jobs here for him, too.
Joyce

Can't always move on a whim? Well we have always done that. Wish we could settle but we just pick up and move. Right now tell ya a secret LOL You Can't tell anyone LOL
we made a ridiculous offer with creative terms on a 60 acre of mountain.
We knew the seller would not be interested, but being investors we always throw offers out there. It is a great price. Well they emailed back and would be interested in our offer. So I guess we'll go look. One good thing is  it would be a lot closer to the youngest. A days drive. Now the older one has to be able to find a good job close to us?? Anywhere we want to live they can't make the pay they are used to. What were we thinking   Going to look the end of the month.
Carlson

That secret sounds nice 60 acres of mountain. We have 60 acres of rolling hills not mountains though and we can make our own bales. We just bought a used round baler, now all we have to do is make sure they don't roll down hill when the baler back door opens.
We made fifteen four foot bales already [took awhile to set-up no manual ].
Joyce

Rolling Hills sounds really nice. I never thought about if we can grow hay or if not how we get it up there. Or will the horses and goats be running and accidentally run right of the mountain with the dogs right behind
McBunz

Darn hard pounding posts into a mountain too Joyce.. LOL  Unless you have a
good layer of soil on top...
Carlson

The goats would love the mountains.
Joyce

I might love them too. LOL The air quality is so much better than here.
I was hoping it may be a little less humid, not sure. Still looking
McBunz

You could braid up you hair and take up yodelling while herding your goats
about the mountain..
Joyce

Well I think I can yodell sp? but don't know how to braid the hair or I would be doing that now
Going to look at the mountain Friday and Saturday. Paul will come and check on the farm for a couple days.
Seems like there is always something going on out there.
If the hoses to the water troughs are not turned off just right they will suck all the water out of the troughs.    In this heat they can't take that for long.
Then one of the horses found large peice of fencing and got his leg stuck in it. Don't know where it came from, but my helper must have left it out there.
Then someone, not saying who.   I'll just say my helper hooked my little Mini goat on a lead, left her tied while she ate because she's like a little pit bull to the other goats at feeding time. This person FORGOT her all night until I went out the next morning. My poor baby was not the little pit bull at all for the next feeding. My helper felt sooo bad. I was so mad
I almost think as long as my helper goes on the trip with me, things may run smoother here.    I just can't take much more help.
What else can I say LOL
McBunz

Sounds like mama's little helper needs a pen of his own..
Carlson

Maybe your helper will make it up to you on your trip being that he was so bad.   Men really don't want their woman mad at them!
Joyce

OH I really like the idea " pen of his own" Then I won't have to have so much help   LOL
