Little birdThis little bird has made a nest in one of my hanging plants on the porch. She has been adding 1 egg a day and now has 4 blue speckled eggs in there. I have to be careful and water around the nest. She doesn't mind me looking in or watering. I sort of hope she hatches them out and they make it. Cute little trusting bird.
Look beside the tag in the flowers.

The little bird sure knows how to pick them a beautiful home and she seems save with you. Probably saver there then close to the barn cats.

Yes she is either a Redpoll or a Purple Finch. Not sure. So trusting.

Oh NO. Came home and something has taken her nest and eggs. Not a trace of anything. Cats could not have done it so must have been another bird? Oh we enjoyed watching her. Dang it

That is a shame.. How about a squirrel... Have at least one living in the garage.. It has opened the bottom of one bag of oats and a bag of horse
treats.. It gives us a real scolding every time we go in but stays about two
feet away.. Not afraid at all.. I would be glad to send it to you..

You can keep your squirrel and that may be the critter that got my birdies next.
Give the squirrel to your dentist for making you sick.

Just below where we live, there's a beehive burner that was moved there and turned into a pub. Hubbie and I had no kids on saturday, so we went down there for a beer. There's a little squirrel there that comes right up to your hands to take peanuts. He's been there since the place was built, he's so cute But I know they can be a pain too.
He hangs out on the deck and all the locals like him..... you can tell when when people are new to the place cause when they see him for the first time, usually the ladies scream ....then 5 min later they are out there trying to coax the little bugger over for a peanut
