Need advice and suggestions on Mane trim...I need to thin out Twisters mane a little, and I am not sure how to thin it..should I just run the clippers into the mane on the Underside of the mane or the Outer part???
I am not planning on showing him, just thinning it down with summer and hot weather.

Well it won't show if you do it under, but can you imagine the funny
looking hair doo as it starts growing under. Going to lift and separate
like the bra comercial..

Why you wanna make it thin? I personally Love a full mane..
Anywho..if we show we undercut..But like McBunz said its a mess if it grows back..I would just use a thinning comb or comb..there is one on the market that cuts it close..need to see if I find it for you..

Or thin it by pulling the mane the old way. That's how i do it. Takes a little time.

Thanks for the suggestions...reason I wanted to use the clippers is...well...just plain lazy... ....but I do like the idea of the thinning comb.
(Thanks C!!)
I have something similar that I have used on the dogs before...might give that a try first.
I like a fuller mane too, but want him to look a little more tidy and less "wild child". Which really IS his personality...he is such a clown!!! Love that horse!!
