Northern people

Might want to tie everything down tomorrow
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A wet frontal system over the nation's south will spread rain and increasing wind into the Middle Atlantic States tonight, then into New England on Saturday. This southern front will then combine with a polar frontal boundary zipping southeastward from the Great Lakes, blossoming into a powerhouse cyclone over eastern Quebec Saturday & Sunday. Many areas should see 1-2" rainfall with this system, and some local amounts over 3" may trigger flash flooding, especially in hilly terrain or urbanized areas. Flood watches have been posted from West Virginia into New England.
That said, the primary weather worry with this developing storm through Sunday will be wind. High wind watches are already flying over almost the entire Northeast coast, from Downeast Maine to Delaware, including Boston, Providence, New York City, and the Jersey Shore. Not to be left out, much of interior Pennsylvania and western New York are also under high wind watches. Gale warnings extend from Eastport, Maine to the Virginia Tidewater. Saturday's high winds will be two-pronged. First, powerful south to southeast winds ahead of the coastal frontal system will hammer areas from Long Island through New England and Upstate New York with gusts along the coast of over 50 mph possible. As the polar cold front catches up with this coastal system, west to northwest winds will intensify in the eastern Great Lakes and Middle Atlantic states Saturday afternoon and evening. Sustained winds from 20 to 40 mph with gusts approaching 60 mph are possible Saturday night through Sunday, especially over higher terrain and near the lakeshore. These strong west to northwest winds will overspread the rest of New England on Sunday
So basically what does all that mean for us ??
Thank you for that weather man. It's pouring and windy here. I'm going to go wash my hair in the rain right now while it's still coming down. Saves my hair from this yucky water we have and saves water bill .... hubby likes that part. Rain is free.
That rain is here in Western NYS already. The weekend weather map shows rain and snow, and the forecast is for cold temps and 50 mph winds. I'll bet Lady stays out in it. She has a Winter coat already, and lots of fat.
Windy here last night, but finally calm this AM.
Gusts of wind made all the leaves come down at once. It was like being in a snow storm made of leaves. Kind of fun if you like wind, but I don't.
I just finished mowing almost all the property and mulched all the leaves..
looked great for One day, then it snowed leaves yesterday
I still love this weather so much better compared to " burning in hot summer!"
