I got out the giant water trough to fill up for clean drinking for all the dogs, horses and goats. I have a bunch of kids pools, but the dogs and horses step in them to cool off and get the water dirty right away. So I got out the tall trough, because none of them step in it.
Well yesterday I noticed one of the pups did get in the big trough. He was just standing still and had his head rested on the edge. I didn't think much of it, only that I'll have to go refill it with clean. A couple hours later, poor puppy was still in the trough, I opened the front door and called his name
" Moose Head " he looked at me and started crying. I realized he was stuck in it and didn't know how to get out. He may be big, but only six months old, not too bright I suppose. Poor baby! I had to take a picture before I helped him out.

Maybe he was crying because he knew you would take him out of his cool bath tub..

I'm pretty sure he won't jump in that one again

How's he going to fight off preditors and protect the farm if he acts
like this

He's just a little kid. He'll learn as he goes along! The bottom was too slippery or him to safely jump out, so he had the good sense to wait for help. I think that's pretty smart.

Yes, I know, he's still a baby... a big baby! LOL

My Annie does the same thing when she gets caught in bramble bushes.

That's true, but Adie named him that. I think she called him
" Cream Cheese Moose Head " He was doomed from the start LOL
