Gifts in a bottle

Thought i would try making up some gifts in quart jars for Christmas this year. Have you done that? I am doing a homemade soup mix and hot chocolate. Hopefully they look pretty    Hubby and the 4 kids that are still in Minnesota all went on their annual Christmas shopping day in the city. They mostly eat and terrorize the stores i think.
Crocker's Critters

That is such a great idea!  I have received sush gifts, and enjoyed them so much.  There is actually a book available, full of receipies that fit in a bottle. These would be good ones for you to add to our 2008 cookbook if we do it again.

Betty your Hubby and 4 kids sound like my Hubby & I.   We go into town to Christmas shop, but mostly found stuff we wanted and fed our faces     So much fun though LOL
The gift in jars is a neat idea. They did that a lot when we live in Wisconsin

Well i thought i was all set but C sent me a web site with tons of good stuff! and some crafts too. Now i am not very good at crafts but i might try my hand at some of them next year.

Yes Joyce, stuffing the face is definately #1. They ate breakfast and later a big lunch. Best part is he was still full so i didn't make any meal this evening and they brought me home some food LOL

Oh boy Adie. I got mixed up in some good old home made shine down in Indiana a few years ago at a wedding. Whew. I couldn't even feel my legs LOL but man could i dance....or so they tell me. Had to drive home through Chicago IL at rush hour, during a tornado with a moon shine hang over. Not something i want to do again    I brought some of that stuff home, put it in a soup spoon and lit it with a match. It burned just like gas LOL.

Oops i may be telling more then you want to know.
