Wind from Kansas?Or maybe Adie sent it from Canada?
What is this?!! And down to 46 degrees tonight.
Good for growing spinach and lettuce, I guess.
Went down to feed this afternoon and a huge tree fell down with an enormous crash across the creek somewhere as I stood there with hay in my hands. The horses went totally bezerk. I thought Moriah was going to try and jump the fence at one point. Then 2 minutes later they were all eating hay again. Whew. Will go and look for that tree tomorrow sometime. Too windy today. Don't want another tree to fall on me while I'm looking.
I'll be real glad when the wind calms down again.
On another topic -- I've been wondering about several of you guys -- is plowing with the draft horses getting underway in Canada? Or is it still too early? How about Chip? Have you been doing any more riding on him?
Anyone heard from Sher?
Hope everyone is well.

mom is doing better and Sher figures she will go home on the 25/26 of
this month.

Yep our Belgian mares have our oats field all seeded and the pastures have been dragged so for now they are taking a break from the spring work until they rake the hay in 3 weeks or so. Hope so anyway as i had to buy 30 small bales of hay. Gorgeous hay but it cost me $3.50 for about 65 pound bales.
Chip is awesome and we are surprised at how intelligent he is and how much he wants to please. He is catching on to neck reining already. He stops on a dime. Walks off with a brisk walk of course with those long legs and even does a little Quarter Horse type shuffle trot. We are keeping him down to the slow trot as we do not want him to even think about running. He is set to go just about anywhere. Our 2 other saddle horses have allowed him into the group now so i think his life is complete. He hates rain and wind though so he is a baby and stays in the barn at night. Probably never really been out in it before. That is ok with us.
Whew i wrote you a book!
