Omlet in zip lock baggie

Yes Joyce it does work.. I told hubby about it yesterday while I was
working on the puter. I could hardly move after he made lunch.
Ham, cheese, onions and fresh mushrooms and three eggs. I managed
to slip some of it to the dog when he wasn't looking, but it did work well.

sounds interesting.

No melted plastic? Is it freezer zip lock, the plaine or fancy kind of zipper ? Freezer bags or regular? It sounds complicated to me. Plus ya know I don't care for the plastic toxins in my liver. Boiling it causes it to change form and makes it more dangerous or nevermind

What's wrong with just putting it in the skillet? Is Boiling bags is somehow easier?
Did you post the recipe or directions so everyone can enjoy the wonderful plastic omlet !

Ordinary zip lock...I didn't post it as I delete everything after I read it.After smoking two packs a day I am not about to worry about a little toxins.
With hubby doing the cooking it was a lot less mess..Just rolled out of
the bagging onto the toast.

I delete nothing and has Christine and Hubby complain to me I need to clean my puter often
I'll find it and send it to you because I don't know my photo bucket anymore

Okay here it is. We nuked our instead of boiling.....

ZIPLOC OMELETS

This works great !!! Good when you're alone or when all your family is together. Best feature is that no one has to wait for their special omelet !!! Have guests write their name on a quart-size Ziploc freezer bag with permanent marker.

- Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into the quart size Ziploc bag (not more than 2) shake to combine them.

- Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc.

- Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake.

- Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up.

- Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot. For more, make another pot of boiling water.

- Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily. Be prepared for everyone to be amazed.

- Nice to serve with fresh fruit and coffee cake; everyone gets involved in the process and a great conversation piece.

Imagine having these ready the night before, and putting the bag in boiling water while you get ready. And in 13 minutes, you have a nice omlette for a quick breakfast!!!
