No i never did order them. Funny you should ask. I got out the nail trimmers this past weekend to do our big dog, and Molly went running to the living and jumped on the couch and just shook.
I am not going to try to trim her nails until i get busy and put in my order. Somewhere in her life time something must have happened to her when she got her nails done. She was dumped on our road about 5 years ago.
Have you tried them? I think i will get them ordered tomorrow.....if i don't forget again

No I have only seen them on advertisments on TV. I tried to call and see if there was any place in Canada to order them and they never answered there phone. I was on hold for almost twenty minutes. [called 1-800]
I wouldn't mind ordering from Canada on TV it costs $35.97 US with handling costs. I work in a pet distribution warehouse and I can't find any in Canada I think when I go back to work I will get ahold of Hagen in Montreal [head office] and get them interested.
The nail grinder looks like it would work great. Where are you ordering it from?

Good morning from warm & sunny Texas! Gary, Schnitzel, and I are spending Christmas & New Year's and my b'day with my Family!
I got a Pedi-cure nail grinder last year. The way I de-sensitized Fing and Poppi, and now Schnitzel, was to turn it on and just hold it on the top of each foot for a few seconds, then I gave them a treat after each foot. After a few days of that, when they accepted it, I put the grinder HEAD ( housing ) on each toenail, but not the grinding part, just the head, and gave a treat after each foot. After another few days of doing that, I actually put the grinder on each toenail, with a treat after each nail (rather than after each foot, as before ). Pretty soon they didn't mind it. I don't know about other breeds of dogs, but Dachshunds are very treat-oriented! Give 'em a treat after each task and they'll do it every time.
Good luck with your endeavors!

Thanks for the advice Sher. I will need to be slow with Molly too.
I put in my order last night. And by the way Happy New Year and you have another b'day coming up? Well best wishes and enjoy the warmth of Texas while you can.
Pat i ordered them from this web site
https://www.buypedipaws.com/Defau...720096022&OVKWID=162235127522
Now they say they are 19.95 BUT when you order they tell you that for another $10. you get the better grade ones. So maybe i was a fool but i went with the heavy duty ones. Now you can get a shedder for free but the catch is it costs you another $7.99 for shipping. I didn't get the shedder.

I got one of these at Walgreens for 19.99
I like it alot! It took me a week to introduce it to my dogs. I just turned it on everytime they got an extra special treat and rubbed it on them and around their legs. Then just did one toe for 2 secs. and turned off, etc.
They don't mind it much now. It goes a little slow on the Pyrenees nails which are sooo big! but if I stay on top of it, it works great. Much better than the chopping action of the old clippers which they HATE! and run from and hide in the corner.
