Prince Monashee..

Oh my..you are talking about "THIS" Tennessee..he is a historical stallion and a KNOCKOUT
IZZY

Yup, that's the horse...he told me that the one that looked like a mini draft horse was another one they called Dusty...he's gettin pics of both of them for me.
He said he was born at his grandfathers ranch.
I hope I can get the pics today....I'm going over to his moms place because the pics might not be on her comp, so I'm going to scan them
IZZY

Monashee miniature horse Ranch, Lumby B.C. is where he was born... my friends grandfathers name is George Ellis.

WOW!  Look at that eye!  What a stunning lad!  I think I'm gonna faint!  I know Lady would if she saw him!

Isn't he something.
IZZY

I stopped over at my friends moms place today to get pics, but she wasn't home
Carlson

Yes he is a good looking horse. this is the same picture Dave Williams from Riftswood Miniature sent to me because my two mares were his blood line.

He sure is stunning !!

I think Carole on the list here has a relation of his.

Yes, some horses from that era just stood out from the regular crowd, and he is certainly one of them, to be sure.

I hadn't realized he'd been Canadian bred...COOL!!

Actually he wasn't Canadian bred, he was bred at Dell Tera's and George Ellis bought him as a weanling and brought him to B.C. When he was 14 Bob Erwin in Texas of the NFC Miniatures bought him to show at the 1987 National Show. And was National Champion Senior Stallion 30" and under. In 1990 the Washburn's from Celebrations Ranch in Oregon bought him and there is where he died.
I have 2 of his grandsons and a friend of mine has a son that is the father of one of my boys. My old boy came from Pat and Dave Williams also.

I haven't been on the groups much lately as I have been busy building a new Website and finally got it done today.

Yes he is a beautiful horse, but too bad they printed this picture backwards, it is his right side actually.
Carole & Critters!

Very interesting Carole and I didn't realize the picture was printed backwards.  Glad you chimed in here and your new website is very nice.
You sure beat me as I have no idea whatsoever how to do a website.

Well, ain't that something...an awesome history lesson here.

This horse, Buckeroo, and Bond Snippet are two that caught my eye from the beginning, and had a lot to do with what I wanted; and still want in a mini.

Me too, mine is with freeservers, and you don't have to know what you're doing, to build one.       Some day I will get a real one perhaps.
IZZY

That's interesting...my friend told me that he remembered him as a baby there, that must be what he meant  He said he had pics of him, he is away on buisness and his mom is looking after his house, this is why I haven't been able to get the pics. He is on his way home today, so his mom should be back tomorrow, so I'll go there to get the pics.
It goes to show that you learn something new every day. Until about a week ago, I had no idea that his grandfather had horses that were so big in blood lines. I was in grade 3 when he mentioned it, but he never made a big deal of it.
