The vet called..He took him inside the clinic in a doggie cage..LOL
He said it was a mess inside the "eye" since it has been soo long it already had formed scar tissue and it was hard to sew .. 
Also NO eyelid left..But he managed to clean it all out good and sewed it closed..he is on pain meds now..he will come home tomorrow and stay on Banamine for 4 days and on Tribrissen for 1 week ..also a needs to wear his flymask. he ways 85lbs..at 8 month old..stiches come out in 2 weeks!!
Lets hope we have a fresh start!

Well I am glad that is taken care of. Can't imagine anyone leaving that eye in there to rot. He should loose his licence. Just no excuse..None at
all. If anyone of us had done that and if was found out, we would have
been charged with abuse. I am so glad you have him in your care now.
They certainly made my never deal with list...

Well from here on in the important thing is he heals quickly. I think he is well on his way to having a terrific life :-)

Poor little guy  So will he always have to wear a fly mask or will eventually seal shut??

No..six..he just gotto wear it so he can't rub on stuff and bust the stiches..he gets them pulled in 2 weeks.

I'm glad the surgery is over and he has a wonderful home with you now and I'm sure he will come along fine. I can't believe the people where he was born didn't take care of him. That is neglect if I ever heard it. I'm so happy you found him and please give him a hug from CT. Gosh, he's tiny at 85 lbs. at 8 months.

Is there any way you can prosecute these idots for Animal Neglect or Animal Cruelty? I mean, there's got to be some justice for this little guy!
