WASPS..YUCKEver so often we have a wasp invasion coming out the fireplace..usually spring or fall..I think they have a nest in the chimney..and when we turn it on it fools them in leaving..they look NOT fully developed..woke up to 10 today..of cause I had to step on One and got stung in the toe!!

 We had wasps, bats and flying squirles coming out of our fireplace in the log home we used to have. Hubby found out the screen was missing on the chimney. Once he replaced that we didn't have them anymore. I hate finding those in my house

Sorry to hear bout your toe, C! Are there any chimney sweeps around there? Or you could go out and buy one of those long brushes on the long wire handle and do the job yourselves ( meaning hubby could do it ............. lol) .
