Wow..Bluebells link..I just read B.'s link on fescue..I never heard to remove the mares the FIRST part of pregnancy?? But there it is!!

Mares should at least be removed from infected pastures during the first 21 days and the last 30 days of gestation and fed a high-quality legume hay.

it also says 30 days before partuition..our vet says at LEAST 60..hmmm..

Glad you enjoyed it. For safety i would go with your vets advice of 60 days and you are right, i had not heard of removing them the first 21 days either.

Well I jank everybody pregnant in the drylot as soon as the first grass shows..don't care when they due..LOL March or July..
