| Watch out for Lady...I bought two saler cows once that I am sure were related. Meanest critters on four legs. Had to carry a stock prod to treat their calves and even then you did not want to turn your back on them. They lasted one breeding season. Sold them and their calves. |

Well heck lady got her name from her first calving. She almost got hubby and tried to kill her calf. After about an hour of struggling and protecting her calf from her she decided she wanted it. She has had 2 more since and is a good mommy. Her name just stuck with her  She let me pet her nose tonight. No baby yet.
But you are right. There are some mean knot heads out there and they don't last on our place very long either. Got no time for a mean one. Our last bull got nasty and he went off the farm quick. Our present bull, Ajax, is a good guy so far but i never take my eyes off him. _________________ Visit Bear Valley Miniature Horse Farm

Congrats on the new baby!! Yep got a few of those killer cows to...lol Hubby got real inventive this year and made himself a shark cage with old scrap metal laying around, now he took apart an old grain bin and made calf shelters and the best part?? didn't cost a thing |
