Friday nite Cinni lost her foal.

Frist one we've ever lost was just heartbroken, We had a sudden rainstorm & with me being out here all alone couldn't get her into the barn, then it turned cold around 35 degrees,
When Amber got home at 5:00 she found Cinni laying in a water puddle shivering, we got her into the barn got heat lamps on her as well as blankets . She was trying to have her baby but just couldn't, called the vet out, now Cinni was due to foal on the 20th of June, The foal was breach, so the vet had to pull it out A little boy mirror image of Judd rite down to the snip on nose .
Cinni is doing as well as can be expected with everything she's been through, poor little thing.
Will give her a year off then try again.
I'm doing O.K. have a few more kemo treatments, am pretty tired a lot
but am now feelin up to going out to b with my babies. by the way we still have 2 foals comin in June.

Sorry to hear about Cinni having a hard time. Thankful that she will recover though. This weather has been a real love of a thing to keep up with this spring. 70 one day and sleeting the next. Heck we even had snow flurries 2 mornings ago. 70 degrees right now.

You did all you could do Patches. And hopefully you will have a couple babies in June and you will feel better so you can enjoy them. Hang in there.

Glad that Cinni made it through, though. How is she doing today?

So sorry for your mare who lost her baby and for you too. Losing one is so hard. I'm not breeding any more after many long years. Just enjoying the 10 minis I have here now but do want to cut back more.'I have 5 mares, 2 geldings and 3 stallions.
