The antena look wrong for a butter fly. But what do I know.
It looks like a sad cartoon of a green elephant with a spit
trunk.. I'll have to play with that one.. |

My cousin has been living down here most of her life. She sent this e-mail to me when I asked her what this was. I guess I'll look it up. 
It is a Luna Moth. They only live for one day (if I can remember). The spots on its back make it look like a set of eyes to fool predators from eating it. It is harmless. In fact it is noted in a lot of commercials and perfume names. Look it up on an internet search. They are neat.
