One of my Dachshunds, Elsa, used to catch and eat Millers ( those little tiny moths that are in the grass ) when she was a puppy. She ate so many one night that she hurled. I had to monitor her playtime after that.

I have a brittany, almost a year now, dumb as rocks! She also does this but worse....keep in mind she is supposed to grow up to be a grand field dog able to hunt grouse and pheasant and quail right?.....Not Jess...she's gonna go out and scream, "DAD! It's a goldfinch!" Nope never be a hunter. She spends all day running her invisible fence chasing every song bird in creation and if there's a moth she's got it but doesn't kill em!
